NEW YORK, NY – January 3, 2012 – newscast, the global media communications consultancy, has appointed Jim Gold as Director of Strategic Services. In this newly created role, Gold will work with newscast’s rapidly expanding client base to help integrate newscast’s powerful suite of audio, visual and digital solutions into corporate communications programs.

For the past ten years, Gold has been operating Gold Media Services, an event management services company that has launched enduring events such as News Xchange and the Doha Tribeca Film Festival. Gold was part of the launch team of Medialink (now Synaptic Digital) in New York in 1987. In 1991, he relocated to London to establish Medialink’s European operations. Gold began his career in the early 1980s at ABC News in New York. He also helped organize the hugely successful TEDxDoha event in 2010 and is working with TEDxEast in New York.
Gold, based back in New York since 2006, continues to provide strategic corporate communications and reputation management consulting for a variety of clients.
