Santa Claus Joins Rosetta Stone in NYC to Greet Children in Six Languages

Multilingual Santa Claus Brings a Sleigh Full of Holiday Cheer to Shops at Time Warner Center

ARLINGTON, Va. (Dec. 22, 2011) — Language is in the air this holiday season with Rosetta Stone’s multilingual hero. Rosetta Stone Inc. (NYSE:RST), a leading provider of technology-based language-learning solutions, is bringing the gift of language to the children of New York City with a fun-filled , candy cane-equipped extravaganza, featuring the city’s most multilingual Santa Claus at the Time Warner Center from December 21-23.

Children will have the opportunity to take photographs with Santa Claus, and speak and share their holiday wishes with him in any of his six favorite languages— English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, and Dutch. Extending the spirit of the season through its annual Santa Campaign, Rosetta Stone will donate language-learning software to an eligible school for every photograph taken. Jolly Ol’ St. Nick will also be collecting wish lists in any language and spreading holiday cheer to all those outside NYC through Facebook and Twitter.

“As I circle the globe this year, delivering gifts to all the good little girls and boys,” said Santa Claus from the North Pole, “I look forward to wishing all the children of the world a very Merry Christmas in their language, whether it’s Feliz Navidad, Frohe Weihnachten, or Joyeux Noël.”

Rosetta Stone’s meet and greet with Santa Claus brings to life the company’s recently launched holiday ad campaign, which showcases the magic and power of understanding while revealing that Santa’s little secret to language learning is Rosetta Stone.

“Santa Claus says ‘Merry Christmas’ in every language, which makes him the perfect hero for our new holiday campaign and charitable giving program,” said Pamela Mulder, chief marketing officer at Rosetta Stone. “In my opinion, it’s really touching to hear people share holiday wishes in many languages and we are thrilled to be creating that experience this year by making our polyglot Santa available live and on-line.”

Multilingual Santa Claus will be available to meet with children December 21 from 3-7 p.m. and December 22 and 23 from 1-5 p.m.
